Tell us about your visit to Moin Moin
I haven’t been there before although I was aware of it and knew that it had moved from the bottom of Brook Street to the Leeds Road.
Who did you go with?
I went with my friend who I regularly meet up with for coffee. We’ve usually got a dog with us, so tend to go to the coffee shops that welcome dogs, but we didn’t have the dog with us this time.
What was your first impression inside and outside?
It’s really beautiful inside, small and lovely. There’s a big white board on the outside though which stops you seeing the lovely area inside which is a shame. It would lure more people in if they removed it. There’s a small outdoor area to sit but on this occasion, we chose to sit inside.
What did you order?
We both had the lunch meal. Which included a sandwich, coffee and a pudding. The portions were really big and there was enough variety to choose from. I had the vegetarian panini, which came with cheese and lots of roasted vegetables. One of the sweets was a vanilla slice which was absolutely huge, we ended up having to share it. We then had an extra coffee each. It was really good value for money.
How was the service?
Very good. They were lovely and very helpful.
Would you recommend it?
Absolutely, as the food was excellent, it was really good value for money and a nice place to enjoy lunch and a coffee. I’m not sure when we’ll be back though as they’re not dog friendly. I do understand why though as it’s a small area so it’d be tricky allowing them in.
Did you visit any other places along the Leeds Road?
No we didn’t, but my friend pointed out the Claire Baxter Gallery and we had a look through the windows – it looks a nice place to visit.
