For over 40 years, Martinez Wines has been a cornerstone of our town’s vibrant food and drink scene. Known for a legendary selection and a welcoming atmosphere, the secret to their longevity is simple: they never stop evolving.
Building on last year’s hit debut, the Martinez Wine Garden is back for 2026 and it’s bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever.
Located in the picturesque, flower-filled park directly to the left of the Martinez shop (at the end of The Grove), it’s the ultimate summer destination for locals, visitors, and even four-legged friends.
What’s New for 2026?
This year, Martinez has partnered with Bradford Council and new headline sponsor Rathfinny Vineyard to elevate the garden experience.
The Horse Box Bar: Look out for the stylish new horse box serving a curated selection of wines. Not a wine lover? No problem. They’ll be pouring draught beers from local favourites Bini-Brew, Ilkley Brewery, and Wharfedale Brewery, alongside summer classics like Pimms, Spritzes, and G&Ts.
The Rathfinny Special: To celebrate their new sponsor, Rathfinny sparkling wines will be available at a 20% discount all summer long—not just in the garden, but across all Martinez bars and shops!
Martinez Picnics: Forget the soggy sandwiches. This year introduces “Martinez Picnics,” featuring elite nibbles like Courtyard Dairy Cheeses, imported Spanish pâtés, and gourmet French crisps.
Your Weekend Itinerary
The garden is designed to offer a different vibe depending on when you visit:
Friday 3pm – 10pm
After-work vibes with live music from local artists (from 6pm), accompanied by a rotating cast of local food vendors.
Saturday noon – 10pm
Relaxed afternoons. Enjoy wine tastings from Martinez suppliers, live buskers, and those famous Martinez picnics.
Important Weather & Dates
The Wine Garden is scheduled to run for 15 weekends, starting May 15th and wrapping up on August 22nd. Because we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be, the garden operates on “fine days” only.
To ensure you don’t turn up to a closed gate, Martinez will make an official announcement every Wednesday regarding the upcoming weekend’s opening status.
