Local bakery opening in Ilkley proves a huge success

Three Little Birds Bakery is celebrating after the official opening of its new Ilkley shop on Saturday 25 July 2026.

Customers queued throughout the day to get their hands on a tempting selection of cakes and bakes, with people beginning to line up from 8.30am. The first 20 customers through the door received a special goody bag.

The Ilkley shop is the bakery’s second location, following the success of its Keighley store, which opened in 2023. Since then, Three Little Birds has built a loyal following for its cupcakes, slices, cookies and macarons.

Alongside a counter filled with freshly baked treats, the new shop also features a dedicated space for wedding cake consultations. From September, customers will also be able to collect celebration cakes from the Ilkley store.

Three Little Birds owner Rebecca Severs said:

“Ilkley, we love you already! The number of people who queued for ages – wow! At one point I was worried we would sell out before we even served everyone who’d been waiting. And the positivity, the enthusiasm, the warmth of everyone who visited us was just overwhelming. I’m looking forward to being part of this lovely community going forwards.”

The fact we’re able to open a second shop right now feels like positive news for small businesses and our high streets. It shows that people really do want to support independent shops.”

Three Little Birds Bakery on The Grove is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
