Ilkley Playhouse has a far-reaching reputation as a vibrant community theatre situated on the banks of the River Wharfe. Offering a year-round arts-related programme of superb high-quality productions, regular music events and gigs, films, comedy nights, dance, poetry, private hires, as well as drama classes for all ages at its ‘Greenroom’ youth and adult sessions, and much more.
Every year Ilkley Playhouse stages a season of around 12 productions, from modern dramas and comedies to musicals and classics of British and world theatre. Performances take place in its very own Wharfeside Theatre and flexible Wildman Studio. The Playhouse also provides a performance venue for touring theatre companies, musicians, comedians, writers, singers, bands and a range of regular hires offering a variety of courses and classes.
Its extensive spaces, costumes and props are all available for hire. If you are going to a fancy-dress party, themed event or you need to costume your cast for a play, please get in touch to arrange a visit.
