Ilkley Moors’ Peatlands with The Friends of Ilkley Moor

Discover Ilkley Moor’s peatland and the wildlife it supports; and the importance of peatlands for carbon storage, climatic regulation, flood alleviation and archaeological history books. A summary will be given of the surveys, research and works which is being undertaken to better manage these habitats for wildlife, people and flood alleviation. The event will take us on to the upper slopes of Ilkley Moor.
